Doesn’t understand rotation of an object. Drives a cubic ton of metal on wheels in the streets.
My only thought as to why this could occur is that either the person is intoxicated or has some sort of cognitive issue like dementia OR that it was deliberately done as a sketch to make a viral video. The former are scary to think about. I can understand a “normal” person making this mistake once or twice, but the fact that it’s continuous and repeated would lead toward impairment.
I immediately thought this is a person on opiates.
Source: saw my mother do this when I was young.
Drives a cubic ton of metal
What’s a cubic ton?
Is that like making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs?
It’s a poor translation on my part.
Cubic tonne of metal would probably make more sense. But there is nothing cubic really in a car so I don’t know why I choose this wording.
As far as I know an heavy car is close to 1000Kg which is a Tonne in the metric system.
Yknow we could just be seeing an extreme bout of dyslexia in a tired person.
Yall never worked in trades and saw the group dyslexic figure east was west, north was south, write shit backwards until the coffee got to his brain and things reverted to normal/reality. Can’t even argue with them because they make rational sounding statements that are half batshit, but, they are 100 percent sure on until they get to be old dyslexics and recognize the tells from what others are saying.
The fact that someone that stupid is allowed to drive.
And too stupid to realise the hoses are designed to reach the other side of the car here too.
I don’t know about where you live, but very few stations where I am have hoses long enough to do this. I think costco pumps are the only ones I’ve seen that are long enough.
Here in the midlands they’re mounted up high and have decent reach. The Shell ones pull out and retract too.
This person should not be allowed to operate a vehicle ever
I’ve been practicing driving with a person who shouldn’t drive. She has no feeling for the car, i. e. doesn’t understand how you would correct your position, drive in reverse etc., and it feels like she’s asleep with her eyes open. Imo driving is a constant stream of decisions and she just doesn’t make any. “Why are we driving here?” - “I’ve been looking for somewhere to turn around.” - “We’re passing suitable locations every 3 seconds and you’re going 50.” - “I can’t decide in time which to use.”
She’s afraid to go the speed limit, highways are off limits. The other day she just straight up drove out into an intersection from a yield side without breaking and stopped in the middle. I warned her it was coming, there were signs and everything. She doesn’t know the speed limit when it’s always very clearly signed. She doesn’t read directions and can’t navigate by herself; “if I say nothing, go straight, or right if straight is not an option” is forgotten after 5 minutes. She’s been driving with an instructor (which I am not) for 20 lessons and we’ve gone at least ten times, too.
I mean sometimes you just have to admit someone is dumb or has a specific deficiency and move on.
I’m pretty sure I have some deficiencies, but I’m lucky I got to learn pretty young on a farm. I’m torn between wanting to advocate kids have access to like go kart tracks at school vs funding more public transit and walkable communities, as someone else said. Both would be dope tho
Protip look at fuel gage you’ll see a symbol telling you which side ◀️⛽ Sadly modern technology can only take us so far
I’ve seen it where the side of the pump that the hose is on in the symbol acts like an arrow, any possibility that’s it?
My wife’s hyundai has two and each has an arrow going a different direction. Gets me every time because my car has the fill hole on the passenger side and hers is on driver side so I always look down at the arrow.
One I guess has the arrow to the right to signify how much gas is left and the other has an arrow to the left to say what side the pump is on but they are both the same icon
People like this are why I support walkable communities and convenient, free mass transit.
Sorry I also don’t want to interact with this person on foot, or in a store, or be behind her at self checkout, or watch her use a tablet to order food. I would prefer to never have to think about someone with this level of brain activity. I also don’t want them to vote.
Fun fact, just hitting the down arrow without a response just puts you in silent solidarity with someone who is so stupid they can’t figure out how to pump gas align two objects within 8 ft of each other :)
