No spatial awareness. Absolutely none.
I feel bad for her - because that’s got to be dementia or something - but she shouldn’t be driving.
Some people were never meant to operate machinery of any kind, much less machines physically larger than they are.
Like, don’t even let this person touch a lawnmower.
The fact that they probably filled their car up with fuel before and then goes and does this is beyond my comprehension
LOL I was ready to defend the driver, having pulled in on the wrong side of the pump once or twice. I drive different cars, and while most have it on the driver’s side, one vehicle I drive regularly has it on the opposite side, so I have occasionally made the mistake.
But then I corrected it by turning the car around and pulling into the pump on the correct side…
Usually the fuel cap is on the passenger side according to the country of origin, so for example European = right side, Japanese = left side. It’s not 100% bullet proof but it can eliminate a bit of the guess work if the car doesn’t have an arrow to indicate such side the cap is on.
More importantly, unless you drive something the size of a bus, it doesn’t matter which side you park, it’ll still reach fine.
At Costco and other high volume stores yes because they’re designed that way. Normal gas stations not so.
on the dashboard, there is an arrow next to the fuel icon. It shows which side to fill.
