$90? Fuck. Isn’t the Canadian dollar fairly close the the US dollar?

Edit: Not really. $70 USD to CAD should be just over $100 CAD. Despite the number being bigger, it’s actually cheaper in Canada. $90 CAD is $62 USD.

Does Denuvo work on Linux?

Was wondering the same

Denuvo supports Linux. Most of the time, the publisher does not enable this support, but if Civ VII is compatible with Steam Deck, then it’s different in this case.

They might ship the game without Denuvo on Linux which has happened before.

6 was free on epic games a few years back and it was recently on sale on steam for just a few dollars.

I picked it up on steam for the Linux version and it was pretty addicting. I never get games dlc and I don’t think I’m good enough at the base game to take advantage of the different things the dlc adds.

If you want to get good at civ games, you can check Marbozir on youtube. The guy is a genius at it and you quickly pick up the way in which you should think about the strategy and resources. And he’s very entertaining to boot.

Tried 6, ended back up on 5. I prefer the simplicity of 5.

Yeah, it took me long enough to get used to the changes in 5, I like the game and am somewhat inclined to stick with it.

Any confirmation of linux/windows crossplay?

If it’s anything like 6, yes, but the Linux version won’t get quick updates so effectively no, since players have to be on the same update.

There’s no reason the Proton version won’t work, though, I suppose.

Here’s hoping the Linux native version fares better this time around…

Good to hear thanks. And proton has worked well for 6? (Steamdeck i assume is using proton not native linux?). We still play V, when they broke mac/windows crossplay I had to install bootcamp to continue playing with my friends. But the family iMac I did that on definitely won’t run 7, so was looking into building a linux tower I could use instead and would strongly prefer not to deal with windows.

Yes, the VI Windows version via Proton is superiour to the native linux build. Steam Deck likely defaults to the native version, but that can be overridden with 4 clicks.
