Somebody start running against this asshat now.

Calling it now, Fetterman is going to switch parties.

Maybe not soon, but someday.

He already did long ago

He just hasn’t announced it yet because like this he’s more useful for the Republicans

Fetterman is the poster child for why the US should allow “recall” elections.

At least for Congress-critters that are, for whatever reason, not the same person that was originally elected.

🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

See, I’d have said George Santos is the poster child for that.

Can we agree that despite how shitty he is, his actual attempt at being a politician is legitimately hysterical?

Like I think Andy Kaufman has haunted his soul just to troll American politics.

There should really be a way for a party or it’s base to initiate a recall election. We’ve had some recent cases of Republicans trying to recall Democrats. It should be for “buyers remorse” and not “we want a do-over”.

So long as it’s a proper election, that same ballot bullshit here in California is braindead. Let alone the fact that it’s a free for all vote, while good old Arnold was actually decent in a doing his best sorta way well we got lucky 20 years ago. Imagine if a Trumper was in charge of California? Mind you I’m pretty sure they’d be locked down by the state Congress and perhaps even impeached on the first fuck up but still.

Honestly there should be both. Just make the trigger for the general recall an exceptionally high bar.

Yeah it should be for Fetterman and the people who run as democrats and switch upon election.

If there was a recall mechanism, I think it would be unreasonable to restrict it to just the party of the candidate

There was one that was more egregious. I don’t remember her name, but this one formally announced that she changed sides after winning. To my knowledge, Johnny boy still calls himself a Democrat.

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Yep. He is the sole reason we don’t have Universal Healthcare. It was supposed to be one of the options we had to choose from, but he made sure to kill it.

His grave should have a public toilet on top of it.

Almost like the democrats are a party designed to give working class voters something that feels like representation but is purposely sabotaged with malicious actors so that no meaningful progress can be made

Funny how the gop doesn’t have a fetterman, manchin, Lieberman, etc blocking project 2025, supreme court confirmations, post 9/11 bullshit, etc. and somehow manages to always get their agenda pushed through

Funny how the gop comes into office and smashes their agenda through where a single person will derail the democrats. “Oh this thing that will benefit all workers?? So sorry, Krysten sinema said no…” but then elon musk and trump dismantle the government in like 2 months and the democrats are like aw geez.

Murkowski? McCain (specifically thinking about ACA)?

The Republicans have been stopped by their own politicians playing ‘maverick’ before. You forget how little got done in the Senate during Trump’s first turn.
