Why did he not want to try the case?

That’s not in the article, but they do say he also called in bomb threats to the same court, and pleaded guilty to that. So it seems like he really didn’t want to go to court. Maybe he was just woefully unprepared?

I know, I rta! I’m wondering if the husband paid more or if he was just not prepared. My curiosity is at once a boon and bane!

Imagine if retail workers could use this method. There would be a lot less people in the world, and some manners learnt fairly quickly.

The article didn’t even try to answer my biggest question. Why was he so desperate not to try the case (or, if the suspicions are correct, other cases)?

Just pure speculation here, but going to court may have made public information that would have been detrimental to him in some way. Maybe something that would cost him his law licence, some sort of fraud on his part.

I can understand hating a case enough to feel like murdering. My biggest question is why it took them 13 years to indict somebody. Hard to believe they suddenly found bombshell evidence after that long.
