Not acceptable at all. But bringing a cat would be just fine.

The workplace, that has no need for hygiene or customer care, fine. My workplace? No. It’s me or the dog and no half measures. Same for cats - I don’t need toxoplasmosis.

Are you… anti dogs and cats? What does that even mean?

Dunno - I don’t get to find out. If a dog comes in I have to go out. And cats would be ok, if they didn’t have an endemic disease and didn’t devastate the local wildlife and came when you called.

But no, I think I’m a people oriented person - you can get a conversation out of them. And I heard there were very few pets posting to Lemmy.

My main question was the “what does that even mean?” part. The first question was mostly rhetoric. Idk his name could be a coincidence or a joke as well, who know.

I absolutely love it cause it’s such a fantastic break from the stress and frustration of working. Dog comes in and you just get to chill out and pet a dog for a bit while getting paid for it. But I could definitely see it being annoying if the dog was yapping all day or just being annoying. I haven’t had a bad experience tho.

One or two well behaved dogs and it’s awesome.

I’m all for it. Any problem dogs won’t be allowed back in, and it’s nice having man’s best friend in the office.

I personally like it when my coworkers bring their dogs. They’re chill so they can hang out without being rambunctious and loud, and they help with stress. I like it when they sleep at my feet, or poke my leg for some pets. I understand why some people in the comments don’t want them but honestly it greatly improves my day when they’re here.

We don’t have any coworkers who are allergic, but if we did, it would naturally be a dealbreaker.
