This was a promotion with Sapporo when Microsoft launched Windows 95.

The Japanese text on the bottom of the left image says: Sapporo (Draft) Black Label beer. I can’t tell what the four characters under 生 are though. (Too blurry for me to figure out.)

Edit: those characters might be 非熱処理 – meaning unpasteurized.

It’s a pretty popular beer in Japan. Many people I know love it (not a beer drinker myself). I’d imagine you can probably get it wherever you live, too.

I… Kinda want one of those. Not to drink it, but to put it on my shelf and be like, “yeah, that’s my Windows soda. I hear if you drink it you’ll turn blue and die.”

Tbh it might actually do that considering it’s probably almost 30yrs old.

I can’t decide who’s more likely to buy this (if it were new): current me out of nostalgia for a pretty good OS, or 1995 me went to Incredible Universe on release day to buy Windows 95.

For the teetotalers: get Linux instead, for root beer.
