Conservatives neither understand solidarity nor critical support, thus they think we’re hypocrites for it. The only time queer people get any semblance of support from right wingers is when they want to bludgeon another group with it.
Obviously you should only want good things for somebody if you personally would immediately materially gain from it. I think that’s fairly obvious, when I was taking my niece to the park yesterday another kid wanted the swing so I was like “little one, I think that kid wants a go. You should charge a small fee to vacate the swing”.
They’re saying that Palestinians are dirty Muslims who hate queer people so it’s okay to genocide them.
Right yeah but they’re saying queer people should want that because (in the cartoonists mind) Palestinian people would want us dead.
But the sort of people who are the audience of this want us dead too, so is the cartoonist saying we should be trying to kill them? That just seems intense.
This meme gives me shitlib vibes, which is slightly different than conservative. Shitlibs will at least pretend they won’t throw us under the bus the second Republicans offer them treats.
It’s both. They believe we ought to want the extermination of people who don’t support us and they also believe we’re stupid because we clearly don’t want the extermination of people who don’t support us. As far as they’re concerned we are their natural enemies and too stupid to realize it, and so they’re mocking us for not killing them.
I know it’s rhetorical but yeah. They (not so) secretly want to kill LGBTQ, or at least view them as inferior. It’s just another indicator of weakness, to them, that LGBTQ protestors and allies don’t abuse their position in the West to demand reigning death on people living in places the West has previously done nothing but reign death upon or destabilize, while fostering the least palatable organized resistance they could find. Still couldn’t manage to find anyone worse than themselves though.

I literally go to a local business in town near me where the owners/whole staff is a Palestinian, Christian family. They know I’m trans, and the old man says to me “God loves all his children” and let’s me know I’m always welcome.
