I used to use Protonmail, however the verification steps become tedious when creating unique emails for sign ups. I’ve switched to Tutanota despite it contravening their one account policy. What do you all use for one off emails (for sign ups etc )? Or do you prefer one of those 10 minute email sites?

If you’re paying for Proton, you have access to SimpleLogin, which lets you make unique addresses that will forward to your real address. You can even respond from those addresses.

There are several other services that do the same thing (e.g., AnonAddy).

Perhaps I haven’t used it to its full capacity but, I have a free proton account and I still have access to simple login

Yeah you get like 10. Which is still pretty useful if you manage them correctly. Like one for banking, one for gaming, random signups, etc

Create a different alias for everything using a service like:

  • SimpleLogin
  • Addy (AnonAddy)
  • Firefox Relay
  • Apple Hide My Email

+1 for simplelogin.

Cancelled proton unlimited since the majority of their platform is lacking features on Linux and switched to just a simplelogin subscription to pocket the savings.

Duckduckgo has an email redirect thing where you can make temporary addresses that forward to your normal one.

They offer integrated aliases via Proton Pass now.

mail.tm is pretty nice for this. It’s meant to be used as a throwaway email service, but you can also save the login credentials and reuse the email address if you need it more than one time.
