Howie Mandel had hair at one time as well.
Did he go MAGA too?
I heard Gallagher went MAGA, but he’s been balding since the 70s.
Haven’t listened to Rogan for ages, for obvious reasons, but I’d be very surprised if he went MAGA. But he typically agrees with whoever is on the show, left or right (I actually remember him agreeing more with the lefties), and from what I understand since he moved to Texas to avoid paying taxes on the Spotify money he’s had a lot more right-wingers on. Ergo more visible agreement with right-wingers.
Then he lost all respect people had for him
He was kind of funny on the show News Radio before even that. That was a good show with a lot of good actors but seems like a lot of people never heard of it.
RIP Phil Hartman. After he died the show wasn’t the same and it just kinda faded away. So it wasn’t a cult classic that got cancelled too soon kind of thing. But also not a show that ran more a long time.
But one of favourite shows of all time. The cane episode was one the best half hours of TV of all time.
What sort of respect are you referring to when you say stuff like this? It feels like people these days judge everyone by the same standards they would a politician and that seems really odd to me. Comedians are supposed to say edgy stupid shit. That’s quite literally their job.
Comedians are supposed to say edgy stupid shit.
Aiming for the lowest common denominator every day of your life does not make you a comedian, even if it does make you very, very rich.
You’re certainly entitled to your own opinion on the artistic merit of that kind of comedy but I don’t think there’s any denying that’s what it is. Nevertheless, why would you look to any artist, especially comedians, for balanced political discussion? That’s not what they do. Even the ones that talk about politics are doing it more for the laughs than the nuanced discussion. If any comes from their jokes that is a side benefit, not the primary purpose.
He had people drink horse cum for a chance at some money.
Imagine forcing yourself to swallow like half a litre of horse cum and then not winning the last challenge and leaving with nothing.
And then it gets broadcast on TV for everyone you know to see.
I was around for that era of Joe Rogan and he was an absolute dullard of a host.
Isn’t that a prerequisite for hosting these kind of shows?
Nobody wants to host those shows except for the easy pay check.
I’d toss my job and host a stupid show for that kind of money in a hot second, wouldn’t you?
If this source is correct, he made about $100k per episode. For that amount of money, I would host the shit out of that dumbass show.
I actually liked the guy during that era. He was a goofy dude who just did weird stuff while giving our weird bro energy.
He also was a moronic maintenance man for a radio station.
