you really only unlock true gamer mode once you add the following win conditions: pay solo & indie developers that you follow on Fedi directly or on their best platform; participate in retroachievements so as to directly flaunt your participation in alternative gaming economies; foster a sharing economy among your friends where you hook each other up with copies of stuff you have recently enjoyed on a regular basis.

if you can enjoy normal, you can enjoy true gamer mode. but if your goal is to beat Nightmare gaming mode at some point you have to improve your tech and strats

Please understand that I did significant work toward the preservation of witness accounts of the Holocaust myself and I know that it all happened from firsthand observation of the evidence.

I’m having a hard time understanding how it matters that Republicans are bad on the Holocaust when the Democrats are currently the ones funding and arming and abetting a genocide. This is whataboutism at its most vile. I don’t want to read another word about revisionism while people in power NOW are allowing it to happen again on their watch. This is bullshit.

Oh, sorry, you misjudge my goals. The United States of America is an internally collapsing slave empire built on stolen land. Developing these habits allows me to retain my access to culture and higher-end services while participating less in the slave empire’s corporate economy. I like haircuts by people who know their craft and I like watching entertainment and playing video-games. I don’t want my luxuries to contribute to corpo wealth.

I’m not suggesting unconsuming, I am suggesting consuming outside of the corpo economy and limiting the use of fiat economy. And this is an ideal to work toward. I think about money I don’t spend to a corpo as money that hasn’t been extracted from my community.
