You didnβt have this realization at like 5 years old?
Good, now reclassify net access as a utility.
A Baratza Virtuoso coffee grinder.
Itβs solidly built, works great, all parts are replaceable and if you need parts or advice all you need to do is mail Baratza.
Iβve owned it for 15 years now and it still works just as well as the day I bought it.
Edit: I also bought an expensive 1zpresso hand mill (a K ultra?) from someone who had buyerβs remorse. Sometimes I donβt want to make tons of noise grinding coffee in the middle of the night and itβs nice to have a quiet way to grind for a cup. Itβs built as solidly as the electric grinder so Iβm pretty sure Iβll have it for life as well. Both were great BIFL purchases.
Seconding this request - it would be really helpful if I could select guest mode then pick the instance I want to see and get to browsing.
Browsing /local on new instances is a great way to find new communities to follow, things donβt always make it to /all on my home instance.
The supreme court ending any ballot recount and investigation into corruption in Florida during the 2000 presidential election. Gore won that one by a hair and Bush only took office because Florida threw out ballots to steal the election and the supreme court rubber stamped it. Any and all optimism I had for democracy in the US died that day and itβs weird to me that we just sort of shrugged and ignored it.
One for home assistant, one for very basic network services (dns, auth, dhcp) that I want up all the time even if I have to shut down the router+firewall. If I have to upgrade the firewall box I donβt want to be unable to print, or use smart home stuff.
