If you asked me to predict every “no” vote before looking at the results, I think I would have got it close to 100%. I could have seen India going either way maybe depending on some BTS politics.
I’m going to enjoy watching those red countries face the music when the multipolar world ignores them – not even imposes sanctions but just ignores them and trades without them. Especially the Western European ones. When the world stops treating them as if they’re special. France has it coming soon, when it actually has to start paying for Uranium it’s going to be crying about human rights. The question is how long will it take for the US’s vassals to abandon it and change their mind about things like this.
What does this mean?
Using economic sanctions to get another country to do what you want. Kind of like the US blockade of Cuba. The link to the document doesn’t work, but here’s one that works for me.
Oh wow, this could be big right? I assume the real question is whether or not it will be enforced.
Eh. Not really. It shows everyone where people stand, but honestly we know that at this point. There’s no binding resolution here that would actually DO anything except showing that US and its vassals suck.
Note that the entirety of the UN has voted to stop US sanctions on Cuba (except the US, Israel, and Ukraine) every year and nothing ever actually changes.
I don’t think it’s anything binding, just stating that it’s indeed a human rights violation.
Of course the fascist governments disagree
I know the UN is shit and should be disbanded, but I know that won’t happen anytime soon.
That being said, I do have this to say. Those that abstained from voting are cowards. Those that voted no are SCUM
