It puts the lotion on the hands or it gets the hose again
Try this.
Put your toothbrush, tooth paste, floss, and the moisturizer in one box. If you go to brush your teeth you’ll also see the moisturizer.
No but seriously, this is an issue. I usually at least use the toilet (because obvious bodily signal) before going to bed which, due to the layout of the bathroom, means I have no choice but to look at the spot where my toothbrush is. I also do have the decency to remember to wash my hands which means even more time spent looking in that direction. I STILL manage to not see the toothbrush and forget to brush. Anything not moving and/or yelling merges with the background noise. *confused T-rex noises*
Tape your toothbrush to your mirror. Or, more seriously, put a post it note on your mirror or your soap (if it’s a liquid soap container).
Even things I do regularly im only sorta, kinda, able to keep it going. I have some supplements I take twice a day and that sometimes happens but I almost take them at least once a day. I highly encourage shooting high to get closer to a minimal level of compliance. Oh and this only really works for really easy things.
I have all of my medicine bottles in a bright red makeup bag. I would be hopeless otherwise. Makeup bags are nice because they are very wide and deep. The growing pile of pill bottles fit nicely. I am talking about the more boxy shaped ones without anything inside them. Mine is around 8cm wide, 13cm high, and 20cm long. Really rough measurements.
I got the pill sorter things where I can prepare it every week. But since I average once a day I fille every other weekish.
I tried to make them work, but having pill bottles in one place and then the organizer separate just made it too stressful. I am not home every day, so having one little bag with it all just helps. The organizer got a little beat up in my backpack. I do have a little metal keychain pill holder that I put 2-3 days of pills in sometimes.
I also have a couple meds that are “as needed” or for emergencies. The big one is needing to keep an eye on the date and exact counts of how much Adderall is left. I just went through the unfortunate experience of not having meds for 3-4 days and I was a mess. It wasn’t even my fault…
I have a daily pill sorter and a daily reminder on my phone. I often see the reminder and forget about it 13 seconds later, so having them already dispensed makes it easy for me to see the reminder and just go do it. It helps that if I don’t take my medicine then I know I’ll feel sick, so if I ever make it to the afternoon without taking my meds it sort of makes me panic so that I go do it right away. It’s good I WFH, otherwise I’d never remember to take my meds before leaving for the day.
This is not adhd. Wait, is this adhd?
Not being able to maintain a task is one of the most standard symptoms of adhd
Same with exercise. Doing 10 push-ups is easy. I’ll do it every day.
It’s better to do 3,000 push-ups today and hope it happens again sometime in the next year.
That’s why instead of walking every day I went for a 32 mile marathon on Sunday
