I’ve had similar experiences with Fox News. All I can say is that their boomer (age cohort or mindset) audience may get these terms more readily than others. For one article I think the headline had something like “100 grand” instead of “$100,000”

Do you have any idea how hard it is to clean old man piss out of a couch cushion? They have White House interns working around the clock to get the smell out each day before Joe’s naps at 10, 1 and 3. He is extremely sleepy and his bladder retention has seen better days.
