I dont know what ‘the couch’ is and they don’t explain it. Also they just say ‘bed wetting’ and don’t explain that. Fucking gold!!
I like to imagine that the couch is just a really nice, comfy couch and the dem establishment is so unpopular that they’re considering going for “comfy couch” as Biden’s running mate in order to try and boost his poll numbers.
Considering how many incontinence related ads there are on cable news, this is very confusing language.
For a second I thought Biden was going to replace Kamala on the ticket with a sofa.
“Generic unnamed sofa” would beat harris by 10 points if you slapped a “I’m a democrat” sticker on it
Or it would if they hadn’t drank too much cheap booze the night before and had to sleep it off and then not really feel like going anywhere today.
But if you’re going to go vote can you get them a pack of camel blues and they’ll pay you back when they get paid on Wednesday?
“bet wetting” is when he pisses on a mattress for fun. not even while asleep or anything, he just does it because he wants to and nobody will stop the president
“losing to the couch” = people not voting at all instead of voting for Genocide Joe
“Bed-wetting” = ineffectual whining
I’ve had similar experiences with Fox News. All I can say is that their boomer (age cohort or mindset) audience may get these terms more readily than others. For one article I think the headline had something like “100 grand” instead of “$100,000”
